During a psychoeducational evaluation, I look at how your child learns, thinks, and processes information. I explore areas like attention, memory, language, problem-solving, academic skills, and emotional well-being. I also look for patterns that might point to specific learning differences or conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Anxiety, or other developmental and learning challenges. My goal is to create a clear picture of your child’s unique strengths and the areas where extra support may help them thrive.
I work with children from preschool age through young adulthood. If you are noticing challenges with learning, attention, behavior, or emotional regulation that are affecting daily life or school, it is not too early to begin. Early understanding often leads to better support, and I always tailor the evaluation to your child’s age and developmental level.
Yes. I work with adults who are seeking clarity about learning, attention, or cognitive challenges that may have gone unnoticed earlier in life. Many adults come to me wondering if ADHD, Autism, or a specific learning difference could explain patterns they have experienced at work or school.
The evaluation process for adults is similar to that for children, but it is tailored to your lived experiences, responsibilities, and goals. My aim is to help you better understand how your brain works so you can find strategies and supports that make life feel more manageable and aligned with your strengths.
You do not need a referral. You can contact me directly to schedule a dyslexia evaluation. Many families reach out after noticing things like reading frustration, slow progress, or difficulty remembering sight words. I will guide you through the process and provide clear next steps to help your child feel more confident with reading.
There is no single best age. Many families choose to test when attention or behavior concerns start to interfere with school or home life, often during the early elementary years. If your child has trouble staying focused, managing frustration, or following through on tasks, an evaluation can help clarify what is going on and how to best support them.
An anxiety evaluation is part of a psychoeducational evaluation and helps with understanding how worry, fear, or stress may be affecting your child’s thinking, learning, or relationships. I look at what situations trigger their anxiety, how they cope, and whether anxiety might be connected to other areas like perfectionism, sensory sensitivities, or attention challenges. My goal is to identify what your child is experiencing so we can find tools and supports that truly help.
Most coaching sessions take place twice a month, although I adjust the schedule based on your child’s needs and your family’s availability. Sessions are collaborative and practical, focusing on real-world strategies for organization, planning, time management, and emotional regulation.
Executive function coaching is typically not covered by insurance because it focuses on developing learning and life skills rather than medical treatment. Some families use flexible spending accounts (FSA) or health savings accounts (HSA) to help with costs.
IQ is measured through a psychoeducational evaluation and looks at how your child reasons, learns, and solves problems. It measures areas such as verbal comprehension, working memory, and processing speed. Families often request IQ testing to determine eligibility for gifted programs or private school admissions.
An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a comprehensive assessment that I conduct when a family wants an outside perspective on their child’s learning or school evaluation results. During an IEE, I review existing school data, meet with you to understand your concerns, and complete a full set of tests that look at your child’s cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning.
My goal is to provide an objective, detailed understanding of your child’s learning profile and needs. I collaborate with families and schools to ensure the results lead to clear, actionable recommendations that support your child’s success both in and out of the classroom.
